Nick Ray is a producer and singer/songwriter from New Orleans whose music career began as the lead singer in numerous rock bands. Not wanting to limit himself to a single genre, Nick continued on as a solo artist, writing and producing songs that genre hop between Pop, Soul, Alternative, EDM, and Hip Hop. The mixing of Hip-Hop beats with electronic rock sounds led to a reunion with rapper and high school friend, LOC. They found chemistry with their first two singles, “Hell On Wheels” and “November”, and knew they were on to something. They quickly hammered out the 7 track EP, The Playback. LOC wrote the lyrics while Nick produced the music and sang the hooks. The Playback is a pathos driven collection of tracks in which Nick Ray and LOC bravely push through life’s strife to seek out a deeper understanding.
Logan Racine, aka LOC, has a spitting fast pace and free flowing lyrics. Though LOC has been writing for well over a decade, this collaboration marks his musical debut.
Nick Ray is currently wrapping up production on his debut solo album, Circles, which will be released this Summer along with a music video for the title track.
